Robin and I are fortunate to be able to travel just about anywhere we want for very cheap. However it seems most of our excursions are very brief. So it was great to leave home on March 27th and return on April 5th. We spent the first two days in Atlanta visiting our friends, Joe and Audrey and their new baby Joey. (Well, he was new to us, although he's almost a year old.) We hadn't seen them in over a year and it was great to catch up and meet Joey--even though he'd often cry when I simply looked at him.
From Atlanta, we went to Washington, D.C. to visit our friend, Sonja Dean. She put us up for a full week and we had a great time exploring the sites, meeting new people and rubbing elbows with politicians.
